"Krampus"
He's St.Nicholas' assistant and Santa's antipod, playing the "bad" guy. However, he's by no means an "evil" force, but more of a mischievous spirit whose appearance is usually enough to keep children in check and his twig rarely, if ever, gets into action.
Frivolous kids are threatened by Christmas' gifts absence, which is Krampus' deed, if they purse their path.
